Pre College: Kindergarten to High School
Your piano journey begins with a 45-minute once a week private lesson , designed for steady progress and long-term success. For students seeking more, we also offer:
45-minute lessons for all ages (our most popular option)
60-minute lessons for intermediate to advanced students
30-minute lessons twice a week for all ages (ideal for young students)
Please note: We do not offer the traditional 30-minute weekly lessons. If this is what you’re seeking, we may not be the right fit. We encourage you to explore other studios listed on our website that may better meet your needs, as we are very specific in how we run our studio.
Learning to play the piano takes time, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be fun and rewarding along the way!
At-home practice is supported with modern technology, including practice apps, digital games, audio recordings, and more.
FAQs
-
Students typically attend a 45-minute private lesson once a week, though other options are available:
- 60-minute lessons once a week (for intermediate to advanced students)
-30-minute lessons twice a week
Additionally, students have the opportunity to participate in an optional group performance and theory class once per semester. (Offerings may vary slightly from year to year.)
To join the studio, families must first attend a free 45-minute to 1-hour interview. This meeting allows us to discuss studio policies, curriculum, expectations, events, and more to determine if we are the right fit.
After the interview, I take a couple of days to reflect. If I feel the studio isn’t the best match, I will reach out with recommendations. If I believe we are a good fit, we will move forward with scheduling and securing a lesson time after thinking on 2 to 3 days.

Students are expected to partcipate in the annual spring recital in May. Additionally, after a certain point students are expected to participate in Fall Piano Adjudications and the Spring Piano Festival organized by our local music teacher organizations

By joining Last Frontier Piano Studio, you are receiving a set time in the teacher’s schedule. It is assumed in the annual tuition structure that students may not be able to attend every lesson week of the year. There are no “makeups.”

I offer lessons from kindergarten to adult. Although I do admit, I prefer if the child is in first grade and above. However, every child readiness is different. Please schedule an interview so that I can determine if your child is ready as we will have a mini lesson.
ADULT PIANO LESSONS
Do you regret not learning the piano growing up or wish your parents wouldn’t have let you quit as a child?
Piano lessons are a wonderful blessing for many adults, whether you’re looking to play for fun, keep your mind active, or pull out the old piano tunes you love so well.
In certain cases, I do offer a la-carte lessons for adults that they self schedule charged at 25% higher price. However, I do prioritize adult students that come on a weekly basis. I don’t offer every other week lessons. Please find a different studio for that option.

Students come once a week for a 45-minute private lesson unless if you are at an intermediate to advanced learner then you must come 1 hour once a week. If you are committed, I do offer 30 minutes twice a week option but that isn’t popular as adults have busy lives!
-
Nope! Adult students are not expected to perform in any recitals but certainly would be allowed if interested. Very few of my adults perform but I’m always excited if adults are willing!

By joining Last Frontier Piano Studio, you are receiving a set time in the teacher’s schedule. There are no “makeups” unless if you are an a-la carte type of adult student. However, if you are a no-show no refunds or makeups will be given for a-la carte students too.
